Prior to completing his Physiotherapy degree Josh spent over seven years working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer. This time spent working with people in the industry has developed a strong foundation in exercise prescription. His passion has grown towards musculoskeletal therapy, rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, and patient empowerment through movement and exercise.
Josh understands that no two people are the same and takes this approach with his patients. He believes in delivering the right intervention for the right person at the right time is key. This fits in perfectly with his strong commitment to providing individualised holistic therapy using a hands-on and exercise approach to assist his patients maximise their potential.
Along with the Praxis team, Josh enjoys all things sport and brings with him over 15 years of personal sporting experience in hockey at both club and representative level. Although Josh has a strong sporting background, he still understands the importance of helping to improve everyone’s quality of life through a collaborative approach to help his patients achieve meaningful goals to them.
During the final year of his studies Josh was awarded The Griffith Award for Academic Excellence for his clinical year. Outside of the clinic Josh likes to remain active with regular strength and conditioning sessions in the gym. Away from the clinic Josh enjoys sampling some of the local craft beers and spending time with friends and family.
