Ellie has a background in Biomedical and Exercise Science which originally sparked an interest in Clinical Pilates and Women’s Health. This spark earged her on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy Studies and has developed a strong interest in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Ellie also works at the PA Hospital delivering a variety of physiotherapy services outside. Ellie enjoys working with patients of all backgrounds and loves the challenge of problem solving to help diagnose and treat her patients problems.
Ellie is passionate about working closely with all patients to develop achievable and sustainable goals which have long term outcomes. She believes that her role as a health professional is to provide her patients with the knowledge, skills and strategies to support them in their rehabilitation journey, and beyond! Each patient is an individual, and Ellie is committed to providing individualised patient care by looking at the whole body – not just the injury site!
Ellie enjoys keeping up to date with the most recent research to guide her treatment and enjoys learning new manual techniques to incorporate with her patients. Ellie has also been teaching Clinical Pilates for over 5 years and is passionate about the benefits this can have for everyone. The skills learnt through Pilates can easily be transferred onto the sporting field, the gym and into simple daily life.
Ellie hopes to continue her professional development by undertaking a Pelvic Floor course in the near future. She hopes to be able to integrate her physiotherapy knowledge, Pilates and Exercise Science background to provide holistic care for women throughout their pre and postnatal journey, as well as Men’s pelvic health.
In her spare time, Ellie likes to keep active by running, going to the gym, and doing Pilates herself. She also loves to chill out by reading a book, listening to podcasts and hanging out with friends!
