The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a scheme developed by the Australian Government to fund costs associated with disability. The NDIS is accessible to anyone with a significant or permanent disability, under the age of 65. A significant or permanent disability is one that a person will likely have for the rest of their life and affects how they do everyday tasks or limits their ability to work, study or access the community. 

 

Someone’s eligibility for NDIS-funded disability support considers whether the condition is likely to be lifelong and whether it interferes with someone's ability to fully participate in activities of daily living and live a full life within the community. You can review your eligibility by completing the following NDIS Access Checklist. If you answer ‘Yes’ to a series of questions, you need to contact the National Disability Insurance Agency on 1800 800 110 to request an Access Request form be sent to you.
